#20 – Tempe Festival of the Arts in Tempe -Dec 3rd-5th, 2010

tempe-festival 42nd Annual Tempe Festival of the Arts is considered the “Best Arts Festival” and ‘Best Annual Festival in 2010′ by voters from AzCentral.com.  Also consider one of the Top 200 art festivals in the nation by Sunshine Artist and has received the Pinnacle Award from the International Festival and Events Association.  One of my favorite shows and I’ve attended for the last 25 years myself.

If you are thinking of grabbing this fall’s show, it’s coming up this weekend. Over the three day event on average 225,000 people will be wondering the downtown Mill Avenue District perusing the more than 400 white tents, filled with original artwork in 18 categories and hand-crafted culinary creations!

If Fido needs some fresh air and a walk, why not head down to Tempe December 3-5, 2010 and take in 400 juried artist participating in the Tempe Festival of the Arts.

Many roaming entertainers, including flame throwers, jugglers, acrobats and stilt walkers, lend a circus atmosphere to the Mill Avenue scene. Musicians perform on sidewalks, along with magicians, caricaturists and psychics. Performers also take to big and small stages throughout the festival.

Dozens of street-food vendors sell fried rice, fish and chips, barbecue, chocolate-covered fruit, roasted corn and kettle corn.
